Welcome to Shepherd Historic Neighborhood

Historic Homes, Urban Core and Close to Everything

Historic Homes

Shepherd is home to many French Tudor Revival homes that were building in the 1930’s. Because of our designation as a Historic Neighborhood, our neighborhood has retained many of the details that make our homes unique.

Our Style

Anchored in French Tudor and English Style Homes

Oklahoma City’s Shepherd Neighborhood contains 309 homes in a well maintained, community setting with many large old trees.  Almost all the homes are one and two story brick veneer houses built in the late 1930’s.

About half of the neighborhood houses are “Tudor Revival” or English style.  These houses feature steeply pitched roofs, arches, half-timbered gables, and prominent chimneys.

Simplified “Colonial Revivial” style houses are also found within the Shepherd Neighborhood.  These homes typically have round columns, balconies, and subtle porch details.

One theme. Infinite designs.

FShepherd Neighborhood is just minutes from Downtown OKC, Uptown OKC and so much more. Just minutes to the best libraries, restaurants, shopping and even a park, Swatek Park, in our own neighborhood.
